The models indicate significant cost benefits to businesses locating at InterLinkSQ rather than other South East Queensland localities or even adjacent developments, given the access to rail transport options.
Potential transport cost savings related to an importer delivering into Queensland stores versus metro distribution centres is $15 per Twenty-Foot Equivalent Unit (TEU).
Potential transport cost savings for an exporter located at InterLinkSQ, compared to an outer metropolitan Brisbane location are $116 per TEU. The savings are more significant at around $194 per TEU for an InterLinkSQ tenant instead of trucking containers from other regional locations to the Port of Brisbane.
These figures are transport cost savings only and do not consider land cost savings or other operational cost savings over for tenants based at InterLinkSQ over metropolitan areas.
